WWE have signed yet another second generation wrestler, this time the son of former WWE and WCW superstar Barry Darsow.

Lately the WWE has been putting the emphasis on signing wrestlers who are the offspring of former superstars, with the likes of Ted Dibiase Jr, Cody Rhodes and Manu currently on the roster. This is because the company believes that the marketing potential is greater for those who are second or third generation superstars compared to wrestlers with no family history in the business.

For those of you who didn’t know Barry Darsow portrayed many characters throughout his wrestling career, with his most successful being Smash, where alongside AX (Bill Eadie) as Demolition he would lift the WWE tag team championship on a number of occasions.

In late 1991, Darsow was repackaged as Repo Man, where he had feuds against the British Bulldog and the Macho Man.

In 1994 he would surface in WCW as The Blacktop Bully and later in 1998 as “Mr. Hole-in-One” Barry Darsow – where he would mainly compete on the “C-show” WCW Saturday Night.

In 2001 and 2007 he made appearances in the WWE as Repo Man in special battle royals.

As of late, WWE has put a greater emphasis on signing wrestlers who are the offspring’s of former wrestling stars. The company believes that the marketing potential for these wrestlers to be greater than the other wrestlers that are trying to make it into the big leagues.

At the tender age of just twenty one years old, it is believed that Dakota will require a considerable stint in the companies development territories, however that won’t stop fans from getting excited about the possibility of a next generation Demolition team!
