The WWE has continued with their recent roster trimming, with the latest victim being Raw competitor Gene Snitsky, who has been released of his contract as of December 11.

After learning the ropes so to speak in World Xtreme Wrestling (wXw), Snitsky would impress the WWE officials in a try out match in October 2003, which would see him signed to a development deal, before making his debut on WWE television almost a year later.

Snitsky would go straight into a feud against Kane, by pushing Kane onto a “pregnant” Lita, killing their unborn baby. After beating Kane at Taboo Tuesday 2004, Snitsky would befriend Heidenreich in his feud with the Undertaker.

His place on the roster would soon begin to dwindle though in 2005 and through 2006 where he would find himself competing regularly on heat, or jobbing in mid card matches on Raw.

In Febuary 2007 Snitsky would debut on the ECW brand with a new look, being bald and clean shaven (even his eyebrows), as well as boasting newly stained yellow teeth! Snitsky would have a degree of success portraying a psychotic madman in ECW, which elevated him to a main event level feud with Rob Van Dam.

He would return to Raw via the WWE Draft in June 2007, but would once again only compete infrequently, loosing the majority of times and would not partake in any notable feuds.
