A few weeks ago Vince McMahon was said to have been in a very bad mood due to his dissatisfaction with the television tapings of Raw, Smackdown and ECW. On the flight home from one of them, he apparently was searching through the roster list to try and conjure up a potential way to improve the situation.

One of the names that he came across was the son of the British Bulldog - DH Smith. He reportedly complained to the creative team for failing to utilise the talented young wrestler on the main roster. These complaints were enough to prompt the creative team to begin to work on a storyline and plan to recall DH Smith back to the main roster.

Since then Smith has been re-paired with his childhood friend TJ Wilson as a tag team in the WWE’s developmental federation, Florida Championship Wrestling.

The team has also been accompanied by Natty Neidhart (who is the daughter of Jim “The Anvil Neidhart”) in dark matches as “The Foundation”.

It’s no secret that Vine McMahon is a fan of second and third generation superstars, or “pedigree kids” as they are referred to by the chairman.

In recent months the likes of Primo Colon, Manu and Ted Dibiase Jr have debuted in the company, with close attention also been paid to Joe Hennig, Reid Flair and Ricky Steamboat Jr.

DH Smith appeared for a short period of time on the Raw brand in late 2007, before being suspended for violations of WWE’s Substance Abuse and Drug Policy.

He resurfaced on Heat for a short stint, but has not been seen since. Many wrestling critics believe that his abilities are greater than some of the recent call ups for the developmental camps and see it as just a matter of time before he returns to our television screens.
